    Description

    American philatelists were concerned when Scott listed the 1980 Azores & Madeira issues under those "dead countries".
    Prominent decesased philatelists mentioned in the text [Francisco] Lemos da Silveira, Cmdr. David Gordon, and the sender Thomas B. Quinn. The vendor, "another friend", provided the stamps.
    The Ritz was then the only true five star hotel in Lisboa.
