  • Condition: Primitive, handmade sewing box. This item was made from an old wood Dewars whiskey crate. There are two short drawers on the top, and one wider drawer on the bottom. The top has removable spindles for thread spools. Some of the spindles have broken; see pictures. There is an sawdust filled pincushion for the top that needs to be recovered in nice fabric.This is a neat restoration project.

    Description

    Primitive, handmade sewing box.  This item was made from an old wood Dewars whiskey crate. There are two short drawers on the top, and one wider drawer on the bottom. The top has removable spindles for thread spools. Some of the spindles have broken; see pictures. There is an sawdust filled pincushion for the top that needs to be recovered in nice fabric.
    This is a neat restoration project. There are scuffs and dings on the wood, plus it needs new spindles for thread spools to be made.  From a non-smoking home.
